1. Configure Universal Ads as a Partner in Singular
Before creating tracking links, you must first configure Universal Ads as a partner inside Singular
- Log in to your Singular account
- Go to “Attribution” then “Partner Configuration”
- Search for and select Universal Ads in the “Search Partners” text box
- Select the app you would like to connect
- Enable the partner configuration for both iOS and Android, if applicable
- Save your configuration

2. Generate Singular Tracking Links
Next, create the tracking links that Universal Ads will use for attribution
- In Singular, navigate to “Attribution” then “Manage Links”
- Choose the app that you want to use
- Select “Create Link”
- Under “Link Type” select “Partner”
- Under “Source Name” select Universal Ads
- Select Cross-Platform Attribution as the link type

Configure your tracking link settings:
- Link Name
- Campaign Name
- Source Device: Connected TV (CTV)
- Destination App: Your mobile app

Attribution window settings
- Note: Make sure “Enable Connected TV Measurement” is toggled ON
- Generate the tracking link
- Copy the impression tracking URL

3. Configure Postbacks and Attribution Settings
Before mapping events, configure Singular to send install and conversion data back to Universal Ads.
- In Singular, navigate to Attribution > Partner Configuration.
- Select Universal Ads from your configured partners.
- Select the app you are configuring.
- Under App-Specific Configuration, configure the following settings:
- Enable Send View-Through Postbacks
- Enable Send all install postbacks to Universal Ads regardless of attribution partner
- Enable Send event postbacks to Universal Ads on all installs
- Under Install & Re-engagement Postbacks:
- Enable Install Postbacks
- Enable Re-engagement Postbacks (if applicable)
- Review your attribution windows and measurement settings.
- Save your configuration.
Once enabled, Singular will be able to send install and conversion data to Universal Ads for attribution and optimization.
Tip: Universal Ads App Promotion campaigns rely on view-through attribution signals for CTV measurement. Ensure Send View-Through Postbacks is enabled to support accurate attribution and optimization.

4. Configure Event Mapping and Data Sharing
Event mapping is required for campaign optimization. Mapping conversion events allows Universal Ads to optimize delivery based on your most valuable user actions.
- Within the Universal Ads Partner Configuration, navigate to Event Mapping.
- Under Map Your Events, select the Singular events you want to share with Universal Ads.
- Map each event to the corresponding Universal Ads optimization event.
- Recommended events may include:
- Registration
- Purchase
- Subscription
- Add to Cart
- Tutorial Complete
- Confirm all desired events are mapped correctly.
- Save your event mappings.
Tip: Review your event mappings before launch to ensure the events used for optimization align with your campaign goals.
Once enabled, Singular will share attributed install and post-install event data with Universal Ads to support campaign optimization and measurement.

5. Add Your CTV Tracking Link in Universal Ads
With your Singular CTV Tracking link ready, you can now create your App Tracker in Universal Ads.
- Create a Performance+ Campaign
- In the “Objective” section select App Promotion
- At the Ad Set level under the “Tracking” section toggle the App Tracker ON
- Select Create App Tracker
- Select Singular as your MMP Partner
- Name your tracker and select which platform you’d like to run on, iOS and Android are pre-selected
- Copy & paste your iOS App Store ID and Android Package Name in the respective boxes
- Copy & Paste your impression tracking URL(s) in the respective boxes for each platform type
⚠️ Example of CTV Attribution Link
- Click Finish
- Universal Ads will automatically validate your URLs and App IDs before saving.
- The impression tracking URL will automatically be appended to all creatives under the ad set it’s appended to.
