At the ad set level, the system defaults the Locations panel to the US. You can target specific areas by state, DMA or ZIP Code.
You can use location-based targeting to include or exclude areas. For example, you can include California and New York as a DMA while excluding a ZIP in California in the same ad set. You may not include or exclude any areas in a discriminatory or unlawful manner.
To upload multiple ZIP codes at once, select Add a List of Zip Codes. Enter the ZIP codes separated by commas, semicolons, or new lines. Ensure you enter valid 5-digit US ZIP codes. When you add to this list, you replace the existing entries instead of appending to them.
To upload multiple States at once, select Add a List of States. Enter state names separated by commas, semicolons, or new lines. Use either the full state name (e.g., California) or state abbreviation (e.g., CA). When you upload a list, you replace the existing entries instead of appending to them.
To upload multiple DMAs at once, select Add a List of DMAs. Enter DMAs separated by semicolons or new lines (do not use commas). Use the valid DMA names or codes (e.g., Nielsen, Meta, or Google Metro). When you upload a list, you replace the existing entries instead of appending to them.
