Universal Ads Manager offers two campaign types designed to support different advertising goals:
Performance+: Reach the right audience across Universal Ad’s premium publishers, wherever they’re watching TV. Performance+ automatically optimizes delivery to maximize performance and outcomes.
Content Select: Choose specific genres or allowlisted networks, so your ads run alongside the content most relevant to your audience, giving you greater control over where your brand appears.
Universal ads organizes ads into three parts: campaigns, ad sets, and ads.
Create a Performance+ Campaign
- Name your campaign. Please note campaign names have a minimum character length of 3 and a maximum character length of 191 characters.
-
Select your objective. Objectives fall into two categories: Awareness and Conversions.
- Awareness helps you boost your brand’s visibility and generate interest in your products or services. This objective is ideal for increasing brand awareness.
- Conversions is focused on driving viewers to take action with your products and services. It’s perfect for driving sales and increasing website conversions. Note: This objective requires you to place the Universal Ads Pixel on the Ad Set (see Pixel Overview).
-
Set a spend cap to limit how much money your campaign can spend.
- Daily: Limits how much your campaign can spend per day.
- Lifetime: Limits how much your campaign can spend throughout its lifetime.
- Select the start and end times, or select to run your campaign indefinitely. Note, you can also set this at the ad set level.
- Select a status, Active or Paused.
To clone an already created campaign, hover over the campaign name in your dashboard and select the “clone” button that will populate underneath.
Please note: your ad set will not be cloned if you clone a campaign; it will only populate your campaign data and start existing creation flow.
Next, you will build your ad sets, create your ad, and publish your campaign.
Create a Performance+ Ad Set
- Name your ad set.
- Set your bid
- Define a daily and lifetime ad set budget, and specify a start and end date if different from the campaign’s dates.
- Select Advanced Options to include a frequency cap: a limit to how many times a viewer sees your ad during a specific period or dayparting (link to article)
-
Enable tracking with the Universal Ads Pixel:

- Create a new Pixel or select an existing Pixel ID to associate with the ad set.

To clone an already created ad set, hover over the ad set name in your dashboard and select the “clone” button that will populate underneath.
The existing prompt below will appear:
Once you select either add to existing campaign or create a new campaign, continue through the creation flow.
Create a single ad
